Spooky Trail Mix

Nut-free and filled with tasty ingredients, what better way to get in the fall spirit than a Halloween-themed trail mix?! I'm not a huge candy fan, but this combination sure satisfies my sweet and salty dessert cravings. I definitely enjoy Halloween treats in a mindful way, and you can too! You can still live a healthy lifestyle and eat some treats every once in a while. Know that deprivation only leads to deeper food cravings; it is better to eat treats in moderation or in addition to some healthier alternatives so you don't feel like you are punishing yourself! Halloween comes around once a year; give yourself the chance to enjoy the day in a healthier way!


Ingredients:

Rice Chex

Pretzels

Pumpkin Seeds

1 tsp Vanilla extract

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Nutmeg

1/2 cup Melted Coconut oil

White chocolate chips

Salted caramel chocolate chips


Directions:

Mix rice chex, pretzels, pumpkin seeds, and melted coconut oil in a large bowl. Add in cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract and continue to mix. Bake in oven on a cookie sheet for ~20 minutes (keep watch) and toss at 10 min. Let cool. Add in chocolate chips. Enjoy!!
